I was privately invited, alongside ten other selected artists, to propose a design for the Burning Man 2025 Man Base. My proposal, The Healing Forest, imagined a sanctuary of resilience and renewal, exploring the connection between nature’s capacity to heal and our own.
 

At its heart stood a scarred tree from an imagined future, shaped by fire, destruction, and survival. Its wounds remained visible as a map of its history, revealing the strength gained through healing. Surrounding trees formed a forest alive with inner light and rhythmic heartbeats, expressing a shared story of survival and hope.
 

The concept invited visitors to become wanderers within this landscape, discovering echoes of their own experiences in the trees’ scars. Through an encounter with the forest, they were invited to reflect on vulnerability, recovery, and our collective responsibility to nurture and protect life.
